The University of Cordoba (UCO) is one of the Spanish foremost research centres with international reputation in the fields of Agriculture, Food, Health Sciences and Humanities. UCO currently leads the ceiA3 Agrifood Campus of International Excellence, a consortium in which UCO is joined by the Universities of Almería, Cádiz, Huelva and Jaén together with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training Institute of Andalusia (IFAPA).

Besides its activity in the field of R&D&I, UCO has considerable experience in managing and implementing international projects. Currently, UCO has been granted with 26 projects funded through H2020 and 18 project funded by other European programs since 2014 (8 LIFE Programme projects among them). A Knowledge Transfer Office (OTRI) and an International Projects Office (OPI)  facilitate the management, implementation and dissemination of transnational projects achieved by UCO as well as the transfer of knowledge and protection of obtained results.
